The rooms at Sherwood Lodge are cozy and comfortable, with a homely feel that instantly made us feel relaxed. We loved the flat-screen TV and shared bathroom with shower - perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring Christchurch.- The double glazing and private access to our room added an extra level of privacy and tranquility to our stay.- The terrace, fitted with our unit, was a delightful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
Personally, we would have preferred a private bathroom instead of a shared one.

Sherwood Lodge was simply delightful. Loved having access to a shared lounge and kitchen, made me feel right at home. The daily continental breakfast was a treat. And oh, the mountain and garden views from my private balcony were just splendid!
Because who doesn't enjoy a steep driveway, flight of stairs, and hearing everything from everywhere? Total bliss.

The rooms at Sherwood Lodge are so comfortable that I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I absolutely loved the flat-screen TV in the room, perfect for lounging after a long day of exploring.- The shared bathroom is super clean and the shower is invigorating.- The double glazing in my room kept it nice and quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.- Having my own private access to the room made me feel like a VIP guest.- The terrace attached to the unit was a great spot to enjoy my morning coffee and soak up the sun.
Personally, I would have preferred a private bathroom instead of a shared one.

What a hidden gem! This place is truly a paradise. the owners are so warm and welcoming, you'll feel at home in no time. the terrace is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee and taking in the stunning garden. And at night, the calming sounds of the creek and rustling leaves will lull you into a peaceful sleep. Plus, the scent of eucalyptus trees fills the air, creating a soothing atmosphere.
The only downside I can think of is that the kitchen and lounge could use some permanent steps. It can be a bit tricky to navigate, especially at night.

Shared kitchen: The shared kitchen at the lodge was like a culinary wonderland! I felt like a master chef, creating delicious meals and sharing recipes with fellow travelers. It was a real foodie paradise.
Noisy guests: Some guests on the upper floors seemed to have forgotten they were in a hotel, treating it like a stomping ground. A minor annoyance in an otherwise pleasant stay.

My stay at Sherwood was wonderful! The beautiful surroundings made for a peaceful and comfortable experience. The hosts were incredibly nice, even when we accidentally broke a glass bottle. The room was impeccably clean, with a comfy bed and amazing bathroom facilities. The kitchen had everything we needed, including marshmallows for hot drinks. The shared accommodations were unbeatable, and I can't wait to come back in the future.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

We loved the peaceful sloping garden, perfect for relaxing while listening to the sounds of cicadas, birds, and the flowing brook. the clean and modern rooms were well-equipped, including a fantastic kitchen with ice. the bath and shower were incredible, and we appreciated the heatpump and fan in our room to combat the hot weather. the balcony room was great and easily accessible. the location was also great, about 10 minutes from town and quiet at night.
We felt very lucky to have found this place, and we have no complaints!

This place is an absolute dream! The room was incredibly spacious, with a jaw-dropping bay window and a private entrance. The beds were super comfortable, and I had the best night's sleep listening to the soothing sounds of the nearby stream. The property is perfectly lit at night, making it easy to navigate in the dark. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The garden view and walking track were perfect for our family, and the hosts were incredibly helpful, providing great recommendations for nearby activities. Can't wait to come back!
